Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint

Website

When spending some time with friends in Nashville we wanted someplace just off the beaten path for an earlier dinner. We had wandered lower Broadway for a while and it was time for some good Nashville flavor and Martin’s did not disappoint. Its a good thing we got there early since you order then grab a table and by the time we left the line was out the door just to order and good luck finding a table. Since it was a new BBQ place for us all we wanted to try a little bit of everything and went with one of the platters. Some brisket that was nice and tender but as expected really, some pulled pork, this one I wasn’t thrilled with, thought it was dry, and some ribs. The ribs were large and really good. We also got some of the sides you would expect with cole slaw and mac and cheese but we also tried the johnny cake and it was pretty tasty. The true star of the day was the smoked wings. We got them with the dry rub and I would go back for them multiple times. The one thing I would say was negative was the barbeque sauce on the tables I thought was too thin and didn’t have much flavor.
